Did you like the article Screensaver-Matchmaker? If so, here is a variant I came up with that gives you the more dominant edge. As before, it can be used for a variety of different situations, however, I imagine asking someone out from work may still prove the best.

Like before it is all based around the object of your desire’s computer. However, you will need a little more time to set this one up, so when (s)he leaves their machine, make sure they will not be coming back right away!

First thing’s first. Now you are on their computer open up WordPad or another text editor. In a large, noticeable font write a message such as “Good! Meet me tonight after work at…” and state a location and time where you would like to meet. After this is done leave it on the screen and setup a marquee text screensaver saying something like “I, your secret admirer have locked this computer. Only agreeing to go out with me will unlock it. If you agree, then prove it by entering the password ‘I agree’”.

Now here’s the clever part. Set up the screen saver with a password and make the password ‘I agree’, and your set! When (s)he arrives at their computer they will read your message, be forced to agree to your terms by entering ‘I agree’, and get your instructions on when and where to meet! Perfect – Just don’t forget to turn up!
